By downloading, installing, or using the Penguni mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Penguni is a university search and discovery application that helps users find universities worldwide based on their preferences, including:

• Country preferences
• Course of study interests
• Academic priorities and requirements
• Language preferences
• Start year and timeline
• Nationality considerations

The App provides university information, rankings, tuition details, and links to university websites to help users make informed decisions about their higher education.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. We offer Sign in with Apple as the primary authentication method, which provides enhanced privacy and security.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• We collect only the information necessary to provide our services
• Your search preferences and saved universities are stored securely
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data

5. Subscription Services

Penguni offers premium features through subscription services managed by RevenueCat. Subscription terms include:

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account
• Payment will be charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings
• No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers connected to the App
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission
• Share false or misleading information about universities
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Penguni and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services
• The penguin mascot and branding are proprietary to Penguni
• University information is provided for informational purposes only
• We respect the intellectual property rights of universities and other third parties

8. Third-Party Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Penguni. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

• University websites and application portals are external services
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party information
• Your use of third-party services is at your own risk
• We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of external sites

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

The information provided in the App is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we make no warranties about:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of university information
• The availability or functionality of the App
• The results of using the App for university selection
• The success of university applications

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Penguni shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

• You may stop using the App at any time
• You can delete your account through contacting us, using the contact information below
• Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately
• We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Penguni operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
